Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is now available for download six (rather stressful) months after the start of development of the release.
This is the latest stable release of Ubuntu 20.04, code-named Focal Fossa. It comes with a 5 year guaranteed security update, critical fixes and selected Canonical software updates.
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS – download free torrent
You can download Ubuntu 20.04 directly from the Ubuntu server from the link below. This will allow you to download a 64-bit .iso release image of approximately 2.7 GB.
After the download is complete, you will need to burn the .iso image of Ubuntu 20.04 to a blank DVD or burn it to a USB drive using, for example, a tool like Etcher. Then simply insert the DVD or plug in the USB and restart the computer by selecting the appropriate boot option.
I always recommend that you first use the “Try Ubuntu Without Installation” option. This allows you to go to a full desktop session, which you can safely explore and see if all your hardware is working properly. If you like what you see, you can run the installer application from the live image to install the OS on your system.
